For the past half-decade, iii Points Music Festival has taken over Miami during a weekend in October. However, earlier in May, the promoters of the festival announced that they would be foregoing their fall event, instead opting to move the festival to February. The announcement was a surprise, but logistically made sense—the past two years saw the festival navigate difficulties with extreme weather, with Hurricane Matthew threatening the festival in 2016 and Hurricane Irma causing delays in production last year.Given the new date, iii Points has pulled out all the stops to get fans on board for their new February date. Today, the festival, which is slated for February 15th through 17th, has announced its initial lineup, and it’s pulled one of its strongest lineups to date, with a massive array of nationally touring, high-profile artists booked for the weekend. Considered an “alternative” festival in the EDM-heavy landscape of Miami, this year, the festival is offering a hugely diverse lineup including headliners SZA, Tyler the Creator, Erykah Badu, and A$AP Rocky, in addition to the likes of James Blake, Beach House, Herbie Hancock, Blood Orange, the Internet, and Virtual Self. You can check out the full lineup of 2019’s iii Points Festival below.
